Mexican footballer Rodrigo Huescas is facing a difficult moment with the authorities in Denmark, as he was sentenced to 20 days in prison for speeding. The Copenhagen club, where he currently plays, confirmed the news and stated that he is not eligible for parole.
In a statement, the team's director expressed his regret over the situation and announced that Huescas will have to serve the imposed sentence. The player also apologized, acknowledging his mistake and accepting the consequences of his actions.
Despite the seriousness of the offense committed by the player, the club decided not to impose an additional sanction, although his driving license was revoked, his vehicle was confiscated, and he received a monetary fine. However, there is no risk of deportation for Huescas.
The 21-year-old footballer accepted the sentence imposed by Danish justice and is now waiting for it to be determined how he will serve the 20 days in prison. Huescas again apologized for what happened, acknowledging that he broke the law and expressing regret for putting others at risk.
