As it became known, Manchester United is targeting the signing of defender Patrick Dorgu from Lichfield. Dorgu became the first target of Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim.
Lichfield, fighting in the lower reaches of League A, is trying to retain its defender, who has a contract until 2029. The club president stated that he does not want to sell the player in the middle of the season, but at the end of the season agreed to a deal after an increased offer from Manchester United.
Patrick Dorgu started his career at the club Housum Bold in Copenhagen, and then moved to the Nordsjælland academy. In 2022, he joined Lichfield and earned a spot in the Danish national team.
The upcoming signing will be checked for medical examination before the transfer window closes to announce the deal.
