Denmark's Initiatives Against Racism in Greenland

Denmark has launched initiatives to combat racism and discrimination against Greenlanders as US President Donald Trump eyes the region. These include access to Greenlandic passports and translators.

Denmark's Initiatives Against Racism in Greenland

Denmark presented initiatives to combat racism and discrimination in relation to residents of Greenland in Scandinavian countries. President Donald Trump has expressed interest in acquiring this vast territory in the Northern polar region. Among the proposed initiatives are the right to obtain a Greenlandic passport, special access to interpreters, and assistance provided in reporting discrimination in the Greenlandic language.

The Minister of Integration, Kar Dipfard Bik, stated: "It is important for the government that Greenlanders living in Denmark can exist without discrimination, which, sadly, does not always happen today." Earlier, Trump stated that America "will get Greenland," which, in his view, the country needs "for international security purposes."
