The Danish government has announced that its administration will declare a median among the "large" plans for the reform of the country's armed forces due to the growing threat it faces.
The Prime Minister noted that Denmark needs to strengthen its defense capabilities to cope with contemporary challenges and threats. She emphasized that the world is in a state of turmoil and even a small country like Denmark must be prepared for any scenario.
"Our responsibility is to ensure the safety and protection of our citizens. Precisely for this reason, we plan to announce large reforms in the defense sector," Frederiksen emphasized.
According to the Prime Minister, the new strategy will include not only an increase in spending on defense but also a review of the defense plans to guarantee the country's security in the long-term perspective.
