On Friday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, rejected Russia's proposal to hold talks in the format of Russia-U.S.-NATO on the issue of security in Europe. The press secretary of Rasmussen emphasized that it is necessary to maintain the Nordic format for conducting negotiations on the conflict in Eastern Ukraine. The statement of the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs was made after Moscow announced its readiness to continue negotiations on security in Europe in a new format within the framework of an initiative by the President of Russia and headed by his working group. According to him, Rasmussen noted that it is necessary to continue sanctions against Moscow until the Minsk agreements are fulfilled.
